Privacy Policy

AstroDaily ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website and service at astrodaily.app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights regarding your data. By using AstroDaily you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you register, we collect your email address and optionally your name. Your email is used to identify your account and deliver your forecasts.
Birth data. To generate your natal chart and personalized forecasts, we collect your date of birth (required), time of birth (optional), and city/country of birth (required). This data is stored securely and used solely for astrological calculations.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full card details. Stripe provides us with a subscription status and a partial card identifier (last 4 digits, card brand) for display purposes.
Delivery preferences. If you connect third-party channels (Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord), we store the identifiers necessary to deliver your forecast to those channels (Telegram chat ID, WhatsApp phone number, Discord webhook URL).
Technical data. We and our infrastructure providers (Supabase, Vercel) automatically collect IP addresses, device/browser type, and usage logs for security, debugging, and performance purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Calculating and storing your natal chart.
  • Generating your daily personalized forecast using AI and astrological data.
  • Delivering forecasts via your selected channels (email, Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord).
  • Processing your subscription and communicating billing information.
  • Sending transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts, important service notices).
  • Responding to support requests.
  • Preventing fraud and maintaining the security of our service.
  • Complying with legal obligations.

We do not use your birth data or forecast history for advertising, profiling for third parties, or any purpose other than providing the AstroDaily service.

3. Sharing of Information

We share your information only as follows:

Supabase — authentication and database hosting. Your account and birth data are stored in Supabase's secure cloud infrastructure.
Stripe — payment processing. Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. Their privacy policy applies to payment data: stripe.com/privacy.
Resend — transactional email delivery. Your email address is transmitted to Resend to deliver your daily forecast and service emails.
Telegram / WhatsApp (Meta) / Discord — only if you explicitly connect these channels. Your identifier (chat ID, phone number, or webhook URL) is transmitted to deliver your forecast.
Vercel — hosting and edge infrastructure. Network logs may include IP addresses.
Law enforcement or legal process — if required by applicable law, court order, or governmental authority.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and birth data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records may be retained for up to 7 years for tax compliance). Forecast history is retained for 30 days and then automatically deleted.

5. Your Rights (including California Residents — CCPA)

Depending on where you reside, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to know — request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to delete — request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sale — we do not sell personal information, so this right is not applicable.
  • Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@astrodaily.app. We will respond within 45 days. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

6. Cookies and Tracking

AstroDaily uses session cookies required for authentication and maintaining your logged-in state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or behavioral tracking cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent you from logging in.

7. Children's Privacy

AstroDaily is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@astrodaily.app and we will delete that information promptly. Users between 13 and 18 may use the service only with parental or guardian consent.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted database storage, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

9. International Users

AstroDaily is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in the US, where data protection laws may differ from your country. By using the service, you consent to such transfer.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the site at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of AstroDaily after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
